Naturalis - Extinct Birds
Extinct birds in the collection of the National Museum of Naturalis History Naturalis (Leiden), all photographed in 3D as on this website. Includes unique specimens such as the Tahiti-Sandpiper Prosobonia leucoptera and Sharpe's Rail Gallirallus sharpei.

ETI BioInformatics
ETI has prepared the 3D images of the bird specimens and developed the website. If you are interested in digitizing (part of) a collection or other objects, please contact info@eti.uva.nl.

QuickTime VR
QuickTime VR moves the photographic image from the flat 2D world into the definitive immersive experience, complete with 3D imagery and interactive components. Examples of what's possible with QTVR on the Apple site.
